    Pioneer in Applied Philosophy

    Executive Director of the National Philosophical Counseling Association (NPCA) and President of the Logic-Based Therapy & Consultation Institute, Elliot is an architect and early contributor to the applied philosophy movement in contemporary philosophy.  In 1981, he founded the world’s first comprehensive journal of applied philosophy, the International Journal of Applied Philosophy, and was at the helm of the philosophical counseling movement in the United States with the founding of the premier philosophical counseling association, the American Society for Philosophy, Counseling, and Psychotherapy (now NPCA).
